Ignite43: Possibility
We are hosting another inspiring Ignite43 event on May 16th at the Old Mill Boathouse in Port Moody. We have 10+ presenters joining us to share their stories, favourite lessons, and teachable moments around a theme of Possibility.
What is an Ignite?
“Ignite” is a PD evening hosted at a local venue with amazing presenters, lively conversation, and great food. Presenters are given 5 minutes to present their idea, with 20 slides rotating automatically every 15 seconds. The intention is to spark or “ignite” an idea and allow time to discuss and share ideas between presentations.
What do we mean by “Possibility”
Consider your practice through this lens: how do you find or inspire possibilities in our learning community? What have you learned on your personal journey through the possibilities in your life? What possibilities have your students amazed you with? If these questions just ignited a spark, please consider sharing it with us at Ignite43!
If you have questions about the event please contact Bree Weir.
Tickets for those wishing to attend the Ignite are available now! You can either scan the QR code with your phone’s camera or click the image to book your ticket. Invoices will be sent out before the event.

Making Ends Meet Poverty Simulation (MEM) is an experiential learning exercise designed to offer a glimpse into the daily experiences and challenges faced by those who live in poverty in the Vancouver Lower Mainland. It is run by members of Dr. Stephen Wright’s Intergroup Relations and Social Justice lab at SFU, with a team of undergraduate volunteers trained to act as “service providers”. These volunteers are managed by Maitland Waddell, a PhD student in the IRSJ lab and the Project Coordinator of MEM.
